Who we are
The data controller is ATELIER 8 S.R.L., Corso Massimo d'Azeglio 8, 10125 Torino, Italy, VAT and tax code 12677760014. For any privacy question, write to info@studioatelier8.it or by certified email (PEC) to atelier8srl@pec.it.
What we collect
This site is a portfolio: there are no forms, newsletter, login areas or analytics. We process personal data in only two situations.
When you write to us. If you email info@studioatelier8.it, we receive what you choose to send: your name, address, contact details, message and any attachments.
When you visit the site. The server hosting the site automatically records some technical data, such as your IP address, the date, the page visited and your browser type. This is used only to keep the site running securely.
Why, and on what basis
- Replying to your enquiry and assessing a possible project: steps you have asked us to take before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Replying to other messages: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Keeping the site running and secure: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- If your enquiry becomes a commission: performing the contract and meeting our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
Sending us your data is voluntary, but we cannot reply without a contact address. We do not use data for advertising or profiling, and we make no automated decisions.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 24 months from the last contact, unless a legitimate reason requires keeping them longer, such as defending a legal claim.
- Clients: for the duration of the project and then as long as the law requires.
- Technical browsing data: according to our hosting provider's data processing terms, its security logs are kept for up to 90 days online and up to one year in archive.
Who else sees it
We rely on two providers, who process data only on our behalf: Google (Google Workspace) for email, and Netlify, Inc. for website hosting. Our professional advisers, such as our accountant, may also see data when needed. We never sell or share your data.
Data outside the EU
Google and Netlify may process data in the United States. Netlify relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback. Google applies the safeguards in its data processing terms: the Data Privacy Framework where it has adopted it, otherwise the Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict how it is used, to receive it in a portable format, or to object to its use. Just write to info@studioatelier8.it. If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can contact the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
